The Enlistment Act (Chapter 93)

1.You are hereby required under Section 10 of the Enlistment Act (Cap 93), to report for enlistment on 07 Jun 2007 (Thu) at 8.30 AM to Basic Military Training Centre School 1 (BMTC SCH).

2.You will soon be enlisted for full-time National Service and you will be posted to BMTC School 1 in Pulau Tekong Camp for Basic Military Training on the date stated in the Enlistment Notice. In line with the MINDEF's Direct Enlistment System, your parents will be allowed to accompany you to your unit.

3.Due to limited seating capacity at our Main Auditorium, which is used to conduct the enlistment ceremony, we can allow only 5 family members/relatives to accompany you on the day of enlistment.

Great.... The long awaited letter from Central ManPower Base (CMPB)... Received it two days ago, but its seems like i just got it... Things haven't really been working out well this week, but with the addition of this nice letter, my week is just perfect( note the sarcasm). I was hoping that I would probably get the September intake, but apparently not anymore...

Now, plans that I have made would probably not materialise or happen. Things like aikido gradings and stuff, which I had so much expectation for myself, just went bust... Thailand trip to ChiangMai would probably have to be postponed like what, 2 years? Going to visit my friends and colleagues in China, forget it...

My dad said that there was a good and bad news when he read it before I even did. Well apparently the good news, according to him, is that finally, I know my enlistment date, and the bad news, both mum and dad would be going to msia on that very day, so point number 3 above wouldn't really happen i guess. My dad said I could invite more friends along (like who on earth would want to see my off to slave myself to my nation right?) which is true lah, they wouldn't care who was your relative or not...

This whole thing just sucks...

I've been dreaming of you. I do not know why, but I dream of things/people that I think about. Things happen in my dreams that often come true, and I'm starting to hate myself for that. That's probably why I like my work so much, I just do, and there's no need to think.
